Monday

Seems an endless mound of laundry...

I so can relate to that old song. Water Color Ponies that is.

Today is laundry day. The mountains of laundry seem to go on forever. Until the end of the day that is.
It is at the end of the day that I find that satisfaction that every homemaker finds at the end of laundry day.

Of course, I could do a simple load of laundry everyday to keep down the mountainous loads, but I like my system. One day, all loads. Laundry done! Accomplishment!

On other notes, I made some great deals this weekend. I am so proud of my new found scavenging skilz!

I found an entertainment center on craigslist for only $50. It looks like this one from target, only in light oak. Perfectly matches the rest of my living room furniture, and exactly what I was looking for.
Of course, yes, it has some minor flaws, but its used. I expect a little roughness.
I also found a crib at a garage sale. Let me tell you the story:
I was out on Saturday with Levi-the two year old-garage sale-ing. Levi was fine so long as we were out of the car, looking around at the various-and by various I mean plentiful-garage sales we happened upon.
After one final stop at a garage sale near our neighborhood, I was about to call it quits. It was approaching noon, I was hot and Levi was cranky.
I said, "Lord, I really only want to pay about $25 for a crib in good used condition. Thirty at the most."
It was then that I was reminded of a neighborhood not too far from us that has garage sales every weekend. So I decided to venture the freeway in search of more garage sales.
I followed the first sign I saw for previously mentioned neighborhood garage sale and low and behold, what should I find?
I found it! Eureka! The baby bed of all baby beds! Drop gate side. Honey color. Sturdy. Good Used condition. For Twenty five buckaroos! The crib looks like this:
Once I got it home, it had a few missing bolts, which I found for $7 and some change at Lowes. By evening I had the new crib put together in our master bedroom and ready to bring Sofia home.
Of course she wont be here for another 88 days, but whose counting!

That is a GREAT crib...really, really pretty. And looks nice and sturdy. Love it.

You look great. I loved the picture of you and your kiddos on the beach...what a great little spontaneous trip.

Love the blog and read every post, even though I don't always comment.

Great finds girl! I loove garage sale shopping. Don't have as much time to do it lately, but hoping to get some more accomplished once Caleb's tee-ball games are over.

Looks like you're getting all set!
