Sorry, no pics...

I didn't take any pictures of them 'opening their rooms,' but oh the joy of seeing the excitement on their faces as they ripped the wrapping paper off their bedroom doors and saw what Mom had done while they were gone.

Levi was first. He was exhausted and half asleep. He smiled at the 'Little Big Trucks' but was clingy and wanted to go to bed.

Melody was next. She ran right in, excited more about her toys arranged perfectly than the paint on the wall. Later I laid down with her, and she said, "I like the brown walls, Mom. Later you will make them pink." So much for her seeing the mauve color.

Ethan and Elijah waited patiently in the hall while Ronnie tucked Levi in bed. They were super patient. They tore through the door, turned the light on and said, "Yea!" Ethan gave me a big, big hug (his love language is giving) and Elijah just complimented everything in the room (his love language is words).

So, goal accomplished. They love their rooms, and while Melody may not be so excited about hers just yet, she will come to love that dusty rose color. I know it's not "little girly" but she wont be a little girl forever.

Aside from the events that took place last night at midnight, Levi fell out of his bed around 4 AM. Ronnie ran to his room, and found him in the middle of the floor, wailing.
He brought him to me, and I held him for a moment while he cried. He seemed so inconsolable. Then I saw him wipe his nose, I thought it was running.
To my surprise, he had fallen face first and busted his nose and lip. He was bleeding all over me. I sat him up and got him and me cleaned up, then he slept in the bed with me for the rest of the night. At around 6, Ronnie got kicked out to Melody's bed.
When the sun rose, so did Levi. He's had one bloody nose since, but I'm gonna really force him to down the chlorophyll. That will help the clotting, and give him a happy attitude!
We'll see!

Just now catching up on the room makeovers.... how incredible everything looked! Great job!
In fact, I am kicking around the idea of doing this very same thing in about 2 weeks when my oldest three kids go visit my sis in law.
I'll still have my 2 year old and 9 month old, though, so I don't know if I would actually be very productive. I can just see the toddler "helping" me paint.
