37 Weeks, 17 days to go...

Sorry for the pajamas, but I'm not feeling so good today. After two busy days, I'm drained. Wednesday, I was just tired of being in the house, and made a lunch trip to Ronnie's office. Then yesterday I had an ob visit. Gained a whole pound, to which my doctor said, "I'm not gonna bug you about it anymore. The ultrasound shows the baby growing fine."
I'd say, she was estimated at 6 pounds, 5 ounces last week!
She reminded me, should I go into labor, to head to the hospital immediately and call on the way. Yeah, right--I've been down this road before. You get to the hospital, 2 centimeters dilated, then twelve hours later, you are still only 2 centimeters. "Cesarean!" They shout with glee. Must have something to do with hooking up that IV full of money.

Anyway, no plans, of course, for a vaginal birth, but if it should so happen that way, I wont complain!

And, no offense to those who've had difficult labors, but don't tell me I'm lucky to not have to go through labor. Having 4 cesareans is no picnic! It is major abdominal surgery. The only good that comes from it is that sweet little child in my arms. Recovery is a pain. Literally.
pregnancy due date

Update::About that dream a few nights ago, the one with the car accident. The accident meaning a life change or upset==Ronnie was informed yesterday that his bosses are putting his job up for application. Meaning, they are giving his position to someone else.
Now, this doesn't mean he's losing his job. Far from it, he is the best salesman in the region, and they would be, for lack of a better term, stupid to fire him.
After our dream and it's interpretation, we realize that God prepared us for this. Looks like he'll be getting that much needed rest he so desperately needs. (His dream of the rest area was about being called to lead people to cleanse and repent, while he is in a time of rest!)
I love when God speaks to couples simultaneously. He was having dreams again last night, but Levi kept waking in pain, right in the middle of his dreams. He told me about them, but I was so exhausted I don't remember what they were.

Although my vaginal recoveries have been pretty painful themselves...and birth is also no picnic...amen, sister. Vaginal is the way to go for sure...if doors open up for someone to have them that way. Are you worried at all about a vag. after 4 c-sections? Not that I know and I haven't researched it, but I've just always heard that's pretty risky. I've heard of homebirths after 2 c-sections (also of course not recommended by the medical community), but was just wondering your thoughts and what you've seen in your own research.

I have had 3 vaginal deliveries, and recovery is not too bad in that area, it's the hemmorroids that terrify me...and the labor pains are pretty intense.
But I have also had major surgery on my head, and recovery for that is a pain....big time. So I can relate to surgery recovery with you.
I just wish you an easy time with it all...that baby will make it all worth it, but you already know that.

I have to say, having had two vaginal births, the actual delivery was not that great at all. Especially with Caleb being a 10 pounder and all.
However, it was amazing how quickly my recovery time was after Cora (the second child), when I didn't have any drugs in my system.
It was more painful than the first when I had an epideral, but afterwards I hardly tore at all because I was more in tune with when to push and was able to get up and walk around the next morning.
I definitely want to go that way again if I can make it through the birth pains!!

Oh I'm so sorry you had to go through 4 c-sections! They almost gave me an (unecessary) one with my first. I'm all for natural homebirth now for those who can do it. But I posted a cool birthing center waterbirth on my blog if you want to see it!

Don't worry if you gain a lil weight I had a miscarriage last time when I was trying so hard not to gain any weight.

You (and the baby) both look great.
I had my 5th section (as I've mentioned in the past) 10+ months ago. It gets easier each time and I pray that no matter what God has got in store for getting this baby here, that He totally gets all the glory!

I'm with you on the c-section recovery. I had 3, but with my last two I was ages 39 and 41 and I think age made it much harder to recover from. I wish you well as you approach this and I hope that you have help in those first few weeks. Praying for a safe delivery, however it occurs, and all the joy of holding another new little life.

Thanks, Wendy.
I'm only 32. I can't imagine having a cesarean at 39 or later. Of course, how could I? I'm not quite there yet. However, you look like you are healthy enough. Were your pregnancies easy?
