Sunday

Just wait til you meet my new neighbor!

Her name is Debbie. She is Jewish. She is Greek (insert photo of 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding' here). She is a Christian!

From the moment I met her, I could feel the presence of the Lord. She and her husband Dave, along with her daughter Twila, granddaughter, and mother-in-law, moved in next to us today. In the one story.

Ronnie went over to help them unload the UHaul as I read the first chapter from 'Prince Caspian' to the boys and Levi and Melody were napping. When I had finished chapter 1, I sent the boys over to help Ronnie and the new neighbors. I joined them after feeding Sofia.

I stepped inside her home, and she greeted me from across the living room and kitchen. Her mother-in-law and husband greeted me first, then she did. She was overwhelmed with joy at the presence of Christians around her. I could see this was much needed, and she, like me, is an open book.

Debbie is not afraid to open her heart and home to anyone, and she was constantly saying, "Oh! We are so blessed! Thank you, Lord, for blessing me with such neighbors who love you!" It was beautiful. I love her already. I think I'll adopt her as a second mom!

Then, she calls Papa John's and orders pizza. For everyone! The neighbor from the house on the other side of her was there as well, with her two children. She fed everyone! 7 children and 9 adults. What a blessing. We stayed there visiting until 8:30 PM.

As we left, Debbie gave all the kids a hug, told them they are welcomed over anytime, and hugged me too! I said, "We should do this every Sunday night!"

She agreed! She said, "We'll get out the barbecue pit and barbecue!"

Oh, I do love this woman!

Two days of blessings. Isn't God good!
