The Ultimate Remedy for Pregnancy Induced Hypertension (aka: Pre-Eclampsia, Toxemia)

Okay, so my bp was up. Yesterday morning, the reading was 149/101. Yikes! Especially considering it was perfect when I checked out of the hospital. 119/72.

So, I scoured the internet, hoping for a home remedy. I found myself at Ronnie Falcoa's Midwifery site, and found a simple recipe to lower bp by 20/10 in the first day.

I was skeptical, but the ingredients were cheap enough, so I sent Ronnie out in search of them.

After mixing the three super easy ingredients, and drinking the stuff, I thought, "This is awful, but if it works, who cares!"
I had lunch, then went upstairs for a nap.

During my nap I sweated majorly--a good sign!

I took my bp at 6pm that evening, and to my surprise, it was 129/82. Marvelous! Just what had been promised!

So, what is this home remedy? I'll share it with you, and if you have PIH, Pre-Eclampsia, or Toxemia, please try it and tell me your results!

PIH Home Remedy Recipe
2 tsp Cream of Tartar
the juice of 1/2 lemon
2 ounces of water

Mix all three ingredients, and drink once a day for three days. Skip one day, then repeat for three days.

interesting...although i would venture that the water helps the most, staying hydrated allows the blood to be as thin as it should, and this allows it to glide through the vessels easily, thicker blood presses on the arteries. the pressing is the pressure you can measure....all this is basic info as you know...but you get the gist of it.
