Thursday

Good morning!

Today is Red Boys birthday, and being that his birthday falls on the Easter weekend, we will be partying next weekend.
But today, he carried a box of homemade chocolate chip cookies to school. He got to wear new clothes purchased for his birthday, and I woke him singing, "Happpy birthday to you!"

It seems such a short time ago we welcomed this tiny baby boy into our world. His strong name was much needed back then. At 2#11oz, he was so very tiny. He battled many demons at such a young age, and he is emerging as a lover of God.

My beautiful 7 year old loves to sing. When we go to church, he shouts, "I love worship!" My heart skips a beat just thinking about his love for God. Like his daddy, he yells, "Thank you Jesus!" anywhere we may happen to be. WalMart. The park. Wherever we are, he yells. It's great.

I don't think I can say enough about the beauty I see in this boy. Even as his mother, I am astounded by his love for God, and I pray I don't tarnish it. He blesses me every day with encouraging words, and he still loves to cuddle up next to me and lay his head on my breast. He is my child and I love him.

He recently began taking a new homeopathic medication for ADHD, and I have notice just this week that he can complete his thoughts. He hasn't hit his hand against his forehead all week to say, "I can't remember what I was going to say." He has become much more conversational and is happy when he wakes each morning. Even nighttime enuresis is waining. He seems much happier, though he was already a happy child. He seems to be 'coming into his own,' if you will.
I am so proud of him and his efforts in school. He is making new friends and better choices.

I am blessed to have my Beloved and my children. Beloved teaches our children respect and grace. He loves them like no father I have ever known, except God, and I enjoy my children because of him.
