Passover Night

This evening, before we left to eat the Seder Meal at church, Red boy opened his birthday presents.
He received books from Aunt J. and Uncle J., which he began to read as soon as the rest of his gifts had been opened.
The rest of his gifts, from Mom and Dad were: new sandals, new tennis shoes, new socks, and three new short sets.
It is so easy to buy for Red, he is grateful for every effort. He thanked me multiple times for his new clothes and wore his new shoes to the Seder Meal.

At the Seder--
Of course, we aren't Jewish, so this was not the traditional Jewish Seder, but we shared a meal together with our church family and remembered the Passover.
The meal itself was comprised of roasted chicken, rice and carrots, bread, and some kind of powdered drink mix (like crystal light).
Our "remembrance" meal--if you'd like to call it that--was a little lacking in the organization, but the point was made to the adults in the room.
All children under three were escorted by the youth group to the nursery, and the symbols were shared amongst the remaining family members.
I had hoped that the youth could have stayed instead of being made to watch children. This is important symbolism, and I wish they had been able to see it.

Anyway, the night is over.

I'd like to say I enjoyed myself, but that might be stretching it a bit. Since my tooth extraction on Tuesday, I ain't feelin' all that great. Pretty groggy still from the pain meds, and they wear off before I am able to take them again. As a matter of fact, my gums are hurting right now, but I can't take any medicine until 11:30. So, I may just go to bed.

Good night all.
